How Much Does Big O Tires Charge to Patch a Tire?

Big O Tires is one of those chains that flies under the radar but has surprisingly solid service. I visited three different locations in my metro area over the past year, and here’s what I found regarding their tire patch pricing.

A basic tire patch at Big O Tires runs $0 to $25. Yes, you read that right — many locations patch tires for FREE if the repair is straightforward, even if you didn’t buy the tire there. For more complex plug-patch repairs, expect $20–$30. Your mileage may vary by franchise owner.

The catch? Availability. Big O isn’t everywhere. But if you have one within driving distance and you’re not riding on a spare, it’s absolutely worth the trip. Their technicians also do a complimentary tire pressure check on all four tires, which I appreciate.

Dave’s verdict: Best value in the business if you’re lucky enough to live near one. Call first to confirm they offer free patches at your local franchise — policies vary by owner.
